SUPER BRIGHT ZINC PLATING KIT

Ideal for DIY enthusiasts, car and motorcycle restorers.

This kit gives outstanding results on various metals including steel, iron, brass, copper and if used in conjunction with the correct metallic spray it can also plate non-metalic items.  Setting up and getting started is easy. The plating process is quite quick with a typical 10 micron coating taking 20 minutes and passivating taking about 30 seconds.  The size and shape of the objects to be plated are only limited to the size and shape of the tank in which you are plating. For long items, you could use a wallpaper soaking tank for example.

The clear/blue passivate can give two different finishes.  The first is the bright silver finish which is done immediately after plating. The second is the blue sheen finish which is achieved by allowing the plated parts to stay in the passivate a bit longer before rinsing and drying. Both types of passivating give outstanding protection against corrosion. There are other coloured finishes possible with this kit. I have provided details in the guide.

The Yellow/Gold passivate will give the gold finish.  This finish will also give outstanding protection against corrosion.

I have plated various workshop tools which used to go rusty. I also use it on bike parts that I am going to paint such as centre stands which are notorious for going rusty. This means if I get any stone chips, they don't go rusty and I don't have to strip the whole thing, I can just touch it up.

This complete kit comes with a zinc electroplating guide. This guide contains all the information you need to get plating.

There is also no need for an expensive power supply as I will show you how to use a 12v car battery or battery charger and our current controller which unlike others is totally variable so you can adjust it to whatever size item you want to plate.

Also included in the kit are:

  • Electrolyte chemicals (will make 9 litres of High quality electrolyte)
  • 225g High purity Zinc anodes (enough to plate 28,000 sq cm at 10 microns)

THE ULTIMATE SUPER BRIGHT ZINC PLATING KIT

Ideal for DIY enthusiasts, car and motorcycle restorers.

Our philosophy is to produce high quality products at a very reasonable price.  This makes our kits within the budget of restorers doing even the smallest of projects.

All our kits are based on the same systems that commercial electroplaters use so we are confident that the results from our kits are always of a high standard.

Unlike other sellers on Ebay, we use all of our kits on our own restoration projects and this puts us in the position to not only sell plating kits but also offer advice on all types of plating and finishing.

We have added the following items to our standard zinc kit to make it the ultimate in zinc plating kits. We now include a pre-plating pickle, a tank heater so you can plate all year round even when the ambient temperature drops, an air agitation pump which keeps the plating even and a tank filter that will help keep the plating solution in top condition. You also get 4 x 10 litre tubs with lids and another 75g of high purity zinc which increases the amount you can plate from 27,000 to 37,000 square cm's.
