Passivation

Passivation is an important step in finishing off an electroplated part. The process makes the surface more passive, becoming less reactive with the environment, giving excellent corrosion resistance as well as the ability to add different aesthetical appearances. The main method of passivation is through conversion coatings. Three of the most common conversion coatings are phosphate conversion, chromate conversion and anodising. Below are our passivates our different kits.
