Black nickel is normally plated as a thin, decorative layer over other metals. These include steel, stainless steel, iron, brass, copper, nickel, bright nickel or replica chrome. The finish can be anywhere from a shiny, chrome-like translucent black finish, to a matt charcoal grey. The deepness of the black can be varied with a post plating process described in the included guide.
