They are cut from a high purity 70:30 brass sheet. This will give enough to plate approximately 15,000 cm^2 at a thickness of 25 microns. They are pre-drilled and ready for use.

Make sure that when using, the brass anodes do not run black. The ratio of anode to cathode surface area must be above 1:10. Meaning the surface area of the anode must be less than 10% of the total surface of the cathode. A small anode should be used to plate a large item. When plating make sure that the anode or anodes are running clean and still look brass coloured. If they go black it means that the anode area is too large.
