Our Brass Plating Kits are designed to be used for either a flash plate (thin plate) on bright nickel, replica chrome plating or to build up a heavier brass plate. It is ideal for DIY enthusiasts, antique restorers and model makers who are looking to either restore brass plated items or to achieve a true 70:30 brass plate with a light gold-like finish. It is easy to use and gives a good plate at a low cost. Because it is an un brightened electrolyte then with a thick plate you will get a matt brass that will naturally give an antiqued appearance. It is also easy to polish up to a high shine, brass finish.
