Our GP DeOx and DeSmut is a fast acting, balanced, oxidisation remover and de-smutting solution. It is designed to be used to remove smut and oxides from aluminium and its alloys prior to anodising. It is most commonly used after the items have first been through our anodising stripper and etch. It can also be used on other metals but it is worth testing first on non important parts. Any part should be clean and free from oils and grease before being immersed in the solution. It should be mixed with 3 or 4 litres of water depending if it is being used for de smutting or de oxidisation.
