Graphite powder can be used as a useful spot fix (if you find copper is not depositing where you want, then rub on graphite powder and place it back into the electroforming tank). You can use only graphite powder (or a graphite pencil) to electroform with. This gives incredibly unique results. You can also slightly wet your item and rub on graphite powder, or you can make a paste with water or thinners, apply this to your items, let it dry and electroform it. One thing to watch out for is that if you are just using graphite powder then when you put it in the tank some of the powder will float away. If you have good filtration the powder debris will get cleaned up quickly.
