Service Description

The workshop is a single session and will take 4 hours. It will begin with an outline of what we will cover and safety followed by painting parts. These will range from leaves, and plants to plastics and rocks. Whilst they dry we will be covering the best ways to clean, seal and paint parts ready for electroforming - and what not to do. Then the parts you have prepared will go into the electroforming tank. While they are being covered with copper, we will go into detail on the electroforming kit itself; how to mix the chemicals, how to set up the electrical circuit and what the crucial settings are. We will move onto the electroforming process with plenty of do's and don'ts so that you will have the confidence to do it yourself. Finally, we will admire and clean up the parts you started off electroforming at the beginning of the workshop, reflecting on the process as a whole (there will be coffee/tea and biscuit breaks too!). There will a 10% discount available on items purchased on the day.
